Yamaha’s original Orthodynamic headphones, first introduced in the 1970s with the HP-1, have been reengineered using modern technology. The redesigned driver features a thin-film diaphragm with metal coil patterning, eliminates the fixed central structure, uses reinforced concentric corrugation, and avoids nearby magnetic materials—delivering authentic, highly responsive sound that’s smooth and easy on the ears.

The large open-back housing comfortably surrounds the ear, providing generous acoustic volume and ideal airflow to reduce diaphragm stress and internal reflections.
