This weighted vest for walking and running turned out to be a really useful addition to my exercise routine. If you’re looking for a simple way to increase intensity during walks, hikes, or runs, adding a bit of weight can make a noticeable difference, and this vest does a good job of making that feel manageable.
The biggest strength of this vest is the comfort. It sits nicely against the body and distributes the weight in a way that doesn’t feel awkward or overly bulky. Some weighted gear can bounce or shift around during movement, but this vest stays fairly stable whether you’re walking briskly or jogging.
The fit is also well designed. It’s snug enough to stay in place without feeling restrictive, and the overall shape works well for both men and women. Once it’s adjusted, it feels secure without digging into the shoulders or ribs, which is really important if you’re planning to wear it for longer workouts.
Another thing I appreciate is that it’s easy to incorporate into everyday activity. You can throw it on for a walk around the neighborhood, a treadmill session, or even bodyweight exercises if you want to increase resistance slightly.
The reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that while it’s comfortable and functional, the overall materials and finish feel more practical than premium. It works well, but the fabric and construction don’t quite have the durability feel of some higher-end training gear.
That said, for the purpose it serves, this vest is comfortable, stable, and effective. If you want a simple way to add resistance to your walking or running routine without sacrificing comfort, this is a solid option.
